Shopping Day

What a day I had yesterday....Wati & I went on our annual fall shopping excursion. We had this trip planned for several weeks to go to Ashburn, Va to a scrapbooking store there to meet one of our scrapbook idols.... Danelle Johnson of Art Warehouse.
She is the wonderful designer of the Art Warehouse clear stamps that we have all been buying and loving to use. She is also one of the creators behind the masterpiece of the new, awesome Creative Cafe.
What a pleasure it was to meet her and talk with her. She is such a nice lady and had lots of wonderful news to give us. Plus as an added bonus, she gave us a free prize...(each of us got one of the new flower die cut sheets for Creative Cafe)

After we left Ashburn, we headed south on 95 and stopped at Potomac Mills to shop at Recollections. I love that scrapbook store, they always have such nice Christmas displays out to show. If that wasn't enough, when we left there we quickly stopped by the big Micheals right next door to Recollections. We did not get too excited, as they didn't have any different scrapbooking items than our local Micheals. So then we got back on the road and kept going more south. Only to find ourselves in Fredericksburg... we had to hit all of the scrapbooking stores there too. We went to The Croppers Corner, Scrapdoodles & A.C. Moore. We finally finished shopping at 9:00 p.m., only because we had to all the stores closed at 9:00. By then we were starving, we ended our day of adventure with a nice meal at The Olive Garden.

It's a good thing we only do this trip once a year!!! We didn't make it back to Colonial Heights until midnight. It was all worth it!!
Can hardly wait until next year :)

School Portraits

Yesterday Madison brought home her Fall School portraits. Kaitlynn had gotten hers back a few weeks ago. I waited until I got them both so I could post them together.

Sorry I have been distant on my blog recently, but I have been busy getting ready for the December's class. Yes, it is a bit early for me to be so far ahead of the game...I usually am the master at procrastination. Lately I have been in such a creative mood that I have pushed myself to keep going. Plus with my hubby out of town working and out of the house all week, that helps me spread my things out a little more in my workspace and work at my own pace.

Thank you to all the ladies who placed an order for the Heidi Swapp clear stamps & the Clip it up. All orders will be in next week, so I will have all items at my house on December 1st.

Yesterday I did manage to snap some pictures of the leaves in my yard. The colors seem to be more vibrant this week so I wanted to capture them before they are all gone. They are falling FAST! Fall is my favorite season I love the changing of the leaves, it amazes me every year how beautiful they are. Since I am from Florida I did not grow up watching them each year, I have only lived in Virginia for 7 1/2 years now. I get very excited each Fall when the leaves start to change.

Pics from September's class

I forgot that I had taken these pictures from the September's class. I was uploading pictures off from my camera chip and came across these. Thought I would share with all of you.

Fall Layout

Love the way this layout turned out I got a little inspiration from Melodee Langworthy
on this one, love her work! The tree is a digital image printed on ledger pattern paper. I also printed my journaling on a transparency and used it as an overlay. Loved using the Scenic Route rub ons they are my favorite rub ons!!

Christmas Class Kit for December

This week I have been very busy in my "workshop" just creating away!

Marty's job has called him away to work out of town, so he is gone all week and only comes home on the weekends. That has it's good points and bad points we miss him tremendously at home, but I am able to get more scrapping done. I have the Christmas class album all done, now I am ready to start kitting them all up. So here is a sneak peek at the cover and a glimpse of what the book will look like.
Again another inspiration from Melodee Langworthy. I did contact her via email to see if she wouldn't mind me doing this class (the cover & pattern paper is very similar to hers but inside is all different from her 12 Days of Christmas class) for my local ladies without any causing any conflicts or competition with her class kit. She was very friendly and didn't see where it would be a problem. So here goes!!!! All stamping is included in my class kit so no need to purchase all of the stamp sets I have used, unless you just really want them!!

Enjoy :)

Happy Halloween

What a very eventful day it was...I went to volunteer at Madison's Halloween party at school, she was able to dress up in her costume (Pirate). It wasn't long after we got home from school before it was time to go trick or treating. Kaitlynn went over to Alison's house to help pass out candy and watch scary movies with some of her friends.

Grandma & Aunt Ree Ree met up with us in Colonial Heights to go trick or treating. Madison got lots of candy that filled her bucket up. I am sure we will be eating on this candy until the new year...LOL
